Is there something you collect that you have 'a thing for'? Something so irresistible that it practically leaps right into your arms before you even really know it? A must have in other words. Well, I have 'a thing for' boxes, most recently collar boxes. To be honest they are new 'find' for me. How did I ever miss something so beautifully made?!
I am currently using one as a sewing kit and have had them displayed in my bookcase vignette, along with small tablescapes. You can find two collar boxes recently listed in my shop. I would love to hear about how you put them to use!
In the early 19th century, Men used the collar boxes as part of their luggage, a travel accessory case that held both the collar and cuffs.
