Antique French Celluloid Purse and Notebook with Pencil Monogramed A G
This is a wonderful antique inlaid celluloid set, a notebook with refillable pencil and little wallet or purse. They were made in France circa the 1900s. You can easily fit coins in the purse as well as a little rosary on one side. The middle compartment has a latch across the top. Each of the two pieces have beautiful silver inlay of lily of the valley, flowers and vines. They each also have a small silver shield on the lower right engraved with the initials A G. The notebook has a small book of graph paper that you can replace as needed, it also has a small compartment on the left for keeping something.
Condition; On the back of the purse there is a red stain easily seen in photo #4, otherwise they are both in very good shape and working antique condition. Ref. Br2058
