This mid century watercolor painting depicts a street scene in the Place du Tertre a beautiful square in hilltop village of Montmartre. Herbelot has captured the essence of the scene in this lovely painting. It has a double matte and a custom gilt frame.
The Measurements are; Print; 10 3/8" long x 12.5" wide. - Custom Gold Frame; 18” long x 15.5” wide

A little history, before Montmartre became a part of Paris, it was a quaint village covered in little farms, vineyards and windmills. During the Belle Époque, due to it’s lower cost of living it became the haunt and haven for artist such as Renoir, Monet, Toulouse-Lautrec, Maurice Utrillo, Van Gogh and Picasso. Fr 2087
