1930's Scalloped Gold Rim Yellow Guilloché Ladies Compact with Powder and Rouge
Superb, romantic guilloché enameled compact with 2 roses, 2 violets and leaves exquisitely hand painted on the top. The compact from the 1930’s has a gold color scalloped top with a gold rim the back is celluloid. large cabbage rose in the center and three small roses around the edges. There are two sides to the compact, a part for powder and another part for rouge and of course there is a mirror.
It is in excellent condition with no enamel loss, it pops open with a little push in button and stays tightly closed when not in use. The mirror is shiny and the gold is all intact around the sides. The mirror also pops open, but it is hard to open it. There is also some minor scratching on the bottom where the compact sits. This is all clearly shown in the last 2 pictures. It is 2 1/4" in diameter x 1/4" deep.
