This antique French livery button (buton livrée) is 1 -1/8" diameter. Buttons like these are associated with the French nobility and aristocracy. This thick flat silver colored button has a crown on it that represents the title of Marquis. The slightly worn quality of this gorgeous old button has given it a remarkable patina, it’s a beauty. The Backmark TW & W Paris 1865-1884 ( Trelon-Weldon-Weil ).
