This lovely Antique box has inlay 1/4'“ wide and 1“ from the edge that frames the pretty stylized diamond center inlay. It may have been used as a sewing box, jewelry, trinket or treasure box, but I think it’s most likely for this antique wooden box to have held documents and important papers. I love antique boxes of all kinds, they are so practical and look beautiful stacked or grouped together. The size of this document box is 12" long x 7.5" wide x 6" deep. 
Condition: The bottom, made from one piece of wood has cracked due to its drying out over the years, there is a small split on the top that runs along the inlay on the right and a small notch from the side ( last photo ). All this considered for its age circa 1920s these are typical signs of age and use it is a very solid piece.
