This is an exquisite antique opalescent glass bead rosary made in France circa 1920 . It measures 17.5" long with a 1/2” diameter center or ‘heart’ with the Immaculate Blessed Mary on one side, Lillies, a star and space for your initials and a special date on the reverse. This wonderful 5 decade Christian rosary has a crucifix with an unpretentious design, strong and beautiful as such, it measures 1.5 "long x 3/4" wide. Atop the crucifix is INIR the acronym for “Iesus Nazarenus, Rex Iudaeorum”, or “Jesus of Nazareth, King of the Jews. Some of the lovely opalescent hand cut glass beads have been worn from devotion over the years making this exquisite and rare rosary feel lovely to hold. It would be a wonderful present or a stunning piece to add to your antique religious collection.
