Beautiful French antique linen tea towels, torchons, cloths circa 1905. These particular cloths have 'three red stripes' down their length and have been monogram by hand in cross stitch with initials 'CD' on the upper left side. Each towel measures 23” Wide by 38” Long. These kinds of cloths were a common feature of a traditional French kitchen and become (whiter) and softer with every wash. They are of high quality, durability and exquisite drape. Because of these qualities they are still prized in France and they are getting harder to find. They are quintessential French housewares and made to last!
