A simply beautiful depiction of the Virgin Mary graces the front of this large Lourdes medal. The Virgin Mary appears so serene. You can see the initials AP they represent the Adolphe Penin Foundry mark. It measures 1" long by 3/4" wide and is in perfect condition. It has gold vermeil details on both sides. This Marion medal is large and strikingly beautiful it will be an exceptional addition to your Catholic jewelry collection.

On the reverse you see a touching and very detailed scene of St Bernadette and the apparition at Lourdes. The details are unbelievably clear, from the folds in her clothing, her individual fingers, the the rosary she is holding to the grass and rocks of the grotto. A Golden light (gold vermeil) emanates from Mary with a bed of rose at her feet.
